The 2008 UBBC Head Race was held on:

2008 results have been published.

This year the UBBC Head Race will be run with the support of BUCS (British University and College Sports). This is the first sporting event of any kind to be BUCS endorsed.

We are still planning on running the event in the same format as in previous years. Divisions one and three will consist of crews competing in the 'Championship' and 'Intermediate' (formerly 'Junior') categories. Division two will consist of 'Beginner' crews (a new BUCS term encompassing all rowers of Novice status).

Unlike in previous years, when competitors were insured solely by their respective Athletic Unions, the BUCS affiliation this year means that they will provide Third Party Public Liability Insurance and Event Insurance.
